LAST USRAH: CCUB 4621

: Good and bad deeds during Ramadhan
REFLECTION
Alhamdulillah this semester, I have attended my last Usrah Budi class for degree, CCUB 4621, section 237. Having Sr. Izzah Farhana as our Naqibah this semester was a blissful experience as she had given great guidance for us throughout the course. Despite sharing the session with students of different courses, I felt like we were all sisters from different families. Especially during the start of our class where we get to recite Al-Mathurat together. This was such a great addition to our classes since as full-time students, it can be hard sometimes to find the time to recite the Al-Mathurat.
There were definitely a lot of important lessons I gained from our classes. My favourite was the topic of maqasid shariah though its a topic we are all already familiar with. Frankly, I feel that at the midst of everything going on around the world, from the pandemic to the unfortunate events in Palestine, it is good to be reminded of what to be prioritised in life.
Another favourite part of mine from the course is our presentation on Ramadhan topics. It was a fun experience as we were doing it during Ramadhan and get to benefit from them almost immediately. I strongly highlight this as one of the strength of the class and a very well job to our Naqibah for including this in our course.
Overall, I feel slightly bumped that this was my last usrah. Throughout my 3 years in IIUM Gombak and 1 year in CFS, I've always found usrah as a great addition to my courses. It's where I get to learn in an environment that is not too formal, but still as beneficial as other classes. InsyaAllah, if I get the chance, I would love to join other usrah sessions even after completing my degree.
